Ingredients:
Rice {Gu Ya} (seed)
Anemarrhena {Zhi Mu} (rhizome)
Gypsum {Shi Gao} (gypsum fibrosum)

Actions: Clears excess heat in the qi system and the yang-ming channel, generates fluids and stops thirst, and drains stomach fire.

Indications: High fever, excess thirst, profuse sweating, irritability, dry mouth, and aversion to heat.*

Directions: Take 3 pills each time, 2 times a day.

Notes: Balance Decoction I is a prepared herbal formula of the ancient prescription, "Bai Hu Tang" (White Tiger Decoction), from On Cold Disease Damage by Zhang Zhongjing. This formula is often described as treating the "4 Bigs", which are big fever, big thirst, big sweat, big pulse. In traditional and clinic, it is used for diabetes with above symptoms.
