This book mainly deals with the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine
( TCM) - It covers a wide range of content, including the theories of yin and
yang, five elements, zangxiang (viscera and their manifestations), qi and blood,
body fluid, meridians and collaterals, etiology, pathogenesis, prevention of
disease and therapeutic principles. In the compilation, traditional terms and
expressions are adopted in order to maintain the classical style of TCM while
modern Chinese is used to expound the abstruse theory and methods of TCM so as
to make it easy to read and understand.
In order to make the content concise, great efforts have been made to polish the
contents and avoid repetition. For example, the running areas of the meridians,
syndrome differentiation of the viscera, cultivation of health and prevention of
disease are not discussed in detail in this book because they are thoroughly
described in the other fascicles.
One point should be made clear here is that TCM is a unique medical system
different from modem medicine - So the terms used in this book, such as the
heart, the liver, the spleen, the lung and the kidney, are quite different from
those used in modem medicine.

【内容简介】
本分册主要讲述中医学的基础理论,内容非常丰富,涉及阴阳五行、藏象、气血津液、经络、病因、病机、预防及治疗原则等。在编写方式上,尽量保留中医固有的术语,以保持中医传统特色不变。并采用全白话文形式,以使行文流畅易读。
为了防止篇幅冗长,编写中除了在文字上反复修饰,使其更加精炼外,还在内容上详略上进行了恰当的处理,以防止与其他分册内容重复。职经络循行部位、脏腑辨证、养生防病等内容,可参阅《中国针灸》、《中医诊断学》、《中医养生康复学》等分册,本书不作详细介绍。
中医学是不同于现代医学的一个独特的医学体系,所以本书中所涉及的一些名词术语,如心、肝、脾、肺、肾等,与现代医学的同名词语在概念上有很大差别,希望读者在学习时加以注意。
