Actions: To clear lung and nourish stomach, and generate fluid and moisten dryness.

Main indications: Use for injury to the lung yin and its defensive phase by dryness, manifesting dry throat and mouth, fever, or dry cough, a red tongue with little coating, and a thready rapid pulse. Often prescribed in China for cough, chronic sinusitis, and tuberculosis.*

Directions: Take 8 pills each time, 3 times a day.

Note: Body Fluid Extract is a modern preparation according to the ancient prescription "Sha Shen Mai Men Dong Tang" (Glehnia and Ophiopogonis Decoction) in TCM, originally appeared in the classical text Wen Bing Tiao Bian (Systematic Identification of Warm Diseases). This herbal formula is commonly used for the internal cause of chronic bronchitis: the Lung Yin Deficiency. It is applicable to late stage infantile measles.
