Ingredients:
Codonopsis (root)
Poria
Bai-zhu atractylodes (rhizome)
Platycodon (root)
Chinese yam (rhizome)

Actions: Strengthens the Spleen, invigorates qi, transforms dampness, harmonizes the Stomach, and arrests diarrhea.

Main indications: Use for deficiency and/or stagnation of stomach or spleen qi with dampness; symptoms include belching, bloating, poor digestion, abdominal fullness, indigestion, erratic or loose stools. Excellent for children diarrhea, and daring pregnant for morning sickness. Useful for prolonged periods.*

Directions: Take 6-12 tablets 2 times a day with jujube soup or conjee.

Note: Codonopsis Root Combination is one modern preparation of the ancient tonifying qi formula "Shen Ling Bai Zhu San" (Ginseng, Poria, and Atractylodes Macrocephala Powder) originally appeared in Imperial Grace Formulary of the Tai Ping Era (Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang). 功能与主治：益气健脾，渗湿止泻。用于脾虚湿盛证。饮食不化，胸脘痞闷，肠鸣泄泻，四肢乏力，形体消瘦，面色萎黄，舌淡苔白腻，脉虚缓。

服法与用量：口服，一次6-12片，一日2次，小儿酌减。

参苓白术片来源于宋代《太平惠民和剂局方》里的一个成方“参苓白术散”。后世奉本方为治疗脾胃气虚泄泻证和“培土生金”法（即补脾益肺法）代表方剂，至今仍被广泛应用，并有散剂、丸剂、片剂、口服液等多种剂型的中成药。参苓白术散主治的基本病证是脾胃气虚夹湿的腹泻，并可用于治疗肺脾气虚夹湿的咳嗽。本方常用于慢性胃肠炎，贫血，慢性支气管炎，慢性肾炎以及妇女带下病等属脾虚湿盛者。
