Ingredients:
Cang-zhu atractylodes (rhizome)
Tangerine (dried rind of mature fruit)
Magnolia (stem)
Chinese licorice (root)

Actions: Dries dampness and strengthens the Spleen, activates and regulates the Spleen and Stomach Qi, harmonizes the middle Jiao.

Main indications: Fullness and distention in the abdomen and epigastria; Loss of appetite and taste; Indigestion, nausea, vomiting, loose stool, belching and acid regurgitation; Heavy sensation of the limbs, a desire to sleep, and fatigue.*

Directions: Take 4 tablets each time, 2 times a day, before meals.

Note: Digest Formula is a modern format of the ancient prescription "Ping Wei San" (Calm the Stomach Powder) originally appeared in Imperial Grace Formulary of the Tai Ping Era (Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang). This formula works to tonify the stomach and improve digestion and elimination. It is often used when there is stomach upset or bloating, and has been used to help relieve fullness in the chest and abdomen. In modern clinic, it is commonly used for Acute and Chronic Gastroenteritis; Functional Gastric Neurosis; Peptic Ulcer Disease; Infantile Indigestion; Induce Labor.

平胃片是是古方平胃散的现代制剂。本方是增强胃动力，治疗脘腹胀满，反酸，嗳气，及修复胃、十二指肠溃疡创面的纯中药消化系统类用药。本方配伍科学，选料精良、药效温和、服用安全、是消胀和胃之首选良药。

平胃散首见于《太平惠民和剂局方》，由苍术、厚朴、陈皮、炙甘草、生姜、大枣组成。用于治疗脾胃不和，不思饮食，心腹胁肋胀满刺痛，口苦无味，胸满短气，呕哕恶心，噫气吞酸，面色萎黄，肌体瘦弱，怠惰嗜卧，体重节痛，常多自利，或发霍乱，以及五噎八痞，膈气反胃等证。平胃者，削平胃中食滞，祛除胃中湿邪之义。

平胃散是时方中的名方，临床极为常用，用之得当，疗效卓然，其所治之病每与湿、食有关。《医宗金鉴》曰：“一切伤食脾胃病，痞胀呕哕不能食，吞酸恶心并嚏气，平胃苍朴草陈皮。”充分说明了该方的作用。平胃散具有燥湿健脾、消胀宽胸、理气化痰、调和脾胃的作用，临证之时，凡与湿食有关的疾病，均可加减或合方用之。
