The Parents Surrender the Younger Son is one episode of the famous Peking opera play Precious Lotus Lantern. This performance is to celebrate the 50th anniversary of China Peking Opera Theatre.

Once upon time, when Chen Xiang, a son of the goddess and the mortal scholar, studies at Nan school, he witnesses Guan Bao, son of Grand Tutor Qin, to insult the master. Chen Xiang fought with Guan Bao and accidentally killed him, then told his father, Liu Yanchang. But his younger brother Qiu Er also likes to acknowledge the violence. Liu can not make a judgment and ask Wang Guiying, his succeed wife and Chen Xiang' step mother, together to interrogate the brothers. Sympathizing with Chen Xiang lost his own mother, she makes a decision to surrender  her own son Qiu Er to the court and lets Chen Xiang flee.
