Inscription of Chinese characters on animal bones or tortoise mainly comes from Yin relics. They are characters inscribed on animal bones or tortoise shells to tell the fortune or to record events by the royal family. They appeared in the late stage of Shang Dynasty (14 - 11 Century BC). It is the earliest character with intact system among ancient Chinese characters. It is very precious material to study ancient culture. A large amount of animal bones or tortoise shells inscribed with letter were abusively and wildly evacuated ever since its discovery. 154604 pieces have been found for 90 years, with more then 4,500 letters, about 1,700 letters are recognizable.
