Actions: Dispels wind and dampness, promotes blood circulation and removes blood stasis, strengthens the muscles and bones.

Indications: Sciatica, Rheumatia and Rheumatoid arthritis, sore back and muscles, limb numbness, lumber and leg pain anemsphobia, hypovosteogeny.*

Directions: Take 1 or 2 capsules each time, 3 times daily. Continuously take 4 months as one course. A consumer should complete at least one course in order to gain effect. Four to five courses are advisable for cure and consolidation.

Notes: Ant health food was recorded hundreds of years ago. In his master book Compendium of Materia Medica Li Shi-zheng (1518-1593) , the greatest Chinese herbalist and practitioner, explained sorts of ants, properties and life environment, and described how the ancients got ant's eggs to eat and prepared the ant food for the chief of a tribe and noble lords. The master said, the ant is highly sensitive to the weather and able to detect a rainy day.

This preparation, mainly composed of fine-breed mountain ants and various traditional medical herbs (Ant, Radix Pseudo ginseng, etc.), is well-established with detailed clinic reports. It proves to have strong clinical effects on rheumatoid diseases of different kinds with high percentage of cure and improvement. Wu Zhichen et al used the prepared Ant Rheumatoid Arthritis Ling for the affection. In treatment of 339 patients with a observation period of nine months, the total effective rate accounted for 97.9%. Among the patients 64% of them were cured clinically or gained marked effect. 74.2% of them had ESR returned to normal. The average duration for returning to normal was 2.2 courses of treatment, the rheumatoid factor turning negative rate amounted to 73.5%, the average duration for turning negative was 2.4 courses.
