Contemporary Chinese painter and art educator Zhu Yingren was born in Changshu, Jiangsu Province, China, 1930. At present he is professor of China Fine Arts Academy, member of Chinese Artists Association, member of Xiling Seal-Making Society, vice-president of Wu Fuzhi's Art Research Society.

Graduated from the former Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts in 1952, Zhu Yingren has stayed to teach there. He was Wu Fuzhi's disciple and instructed by Pan Tianshou himself. Mr. Zhu's painting style bears the traits of Wu Changshuo, Pan Tianshou and Wu Fuzhi, combines poem, calligraphy, drawing, seal into artwork. Magnum opus includes Squirrels, Mountain Flowers, Orchid and Bamboo, etc. His works were published in the Collection of Zhu Yingren's Paintings.

朱颖人，1930生于江苏常熟。1952年毕业于原浙江美术学院并留校任教，为吴茀之先生入室弟子，曾得到潘天寿先生亲授。现为中国美术学院教授、研究生导师、中国美术家协会会员、潘天寿基金会常务理事、吴茀之艺术研究会副会长、西泠印社社员。

朱颖人的画风师承吴昌硕、潘天寿和吴茀之诸家。从绘画图式语言看，他的笔墨是与形象融为一体，构图是与自然融为一体，意境是与诗情融为一体，而总体风格是与人融为一体—温文尔雅，平易近人，不故作惊人之语，无哗众取宠之心，淡而醇厚，静而深远，雅俗共赏，以韵取胜。长期在浙派绘画中磨练，其作品清新雅逸，功力深厚，集诗、书、画、印为一体。在二十世纪花鸟的后潘天寿、吴茀之时代，朱颖人恪守传统花鸟画的品格，而又描绘时代的新貌，于传统笔墨中显现己意，有自家风貌，曾应邀赴加拿大、美国、日本、意大利及香港等地讲学。代表作品有《松鼠图》、《山花》、《兰竹》等。《藤揽晨风》获全国首届花岛画展特等奖。出版有《朱颖人画集》两种。
