This documentary video introduces Tang Shizhu -one diligent outstanding middle age Chinese seal carver, calligrapher and painter.
In 1942 Mr. Tang was born in She county, a well-known place for Chinese ink and inkstone, Anhui province. From little kid he was very fond of the calligraphy and painting art, diligently and unceasingly studied day and night. On more than 30 years artistic growth path, he was ever given directions by precursory artistic masters Lu Wei Zhao, Sha Meng Hai, Wu Fu Zhi, Zhu Le San, Lu Yan Shao, Yu Ren Tian, Chen Zuo Fu, Chen Xian Qing and so on, that made him attain delightful achievement in respects of poetry, calligraphy, painting, and seal cutting. His artistic works, such as couplets, engraved stones, inscriptions on a tablet, are often visible in historical and cultural places, and landscapes in China.
