Ingredients: Plantain (seed), Lilac pink herb (whole plant), Knotgrass (whole plant), Purified tale (pulvis talci), Gardenia (fruit), Chinese licorice (root), Chinese skullcap (root)

Actions: Clears heat; enhances urination; unblocks urinary dysfunction; helps alleviate inflammation.

Main indications: Use for lin syndrome due to damp-heat, frequent, urgent and painful urination, dribbling of urine, turbid dark urine, or even retention of urine, distention and fullness of the lower abdomen, dry mouth and throat, showing a tongue with yellow and greasy coating, and slippery rapid pulse. In China it is usually prescribed for urinary system infection, colpitis, urethritis, etc.*

Directions: take 8 pills once time, 3 times a day.
Contraindications: It is not for a person who has a weak constitution and chronic problems, or who is pregnant.

Notes: A classical prescription originally appeared in: Imperial Grace Formulary of the Tai Ping Era (Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang), Ba Zheng San, translated as Eight Herb Powder for Rectification. In modern clinic practice it is applicable to acute urinary tract infection; urolithiasis (bladder stones); cystitis; urethritis, acute prostatitis, urinary tract stones; acute nephritis; acute pyelonephritis.
