Actions: Tonify qi and nourish the blood.
Indications: Useful for deficiency both of qi and blood, pale complexion, dizziness, dim eyesight, lassitude of limbs, shortness of breath, disinclination to talk, palpitation, insomnia, pale tongue with thin and whitish coating, thready and feeble pulse.*
Directions: As a dietary supplement, take 8 pills each time, 3 times a day as a herbal supplement.
Cautions: Do not use during pregnancy.
Notes: Ba Zhen Wan is a modern preparation according to the ancient prescription in TCM, Eight Precious Ingredients Decoction, originally appeared in Cataloged Essentials for Correcting the Body (Zheng Ti Lei Yao). It is a tonic formula for Qi and Blood Deficiency usually due to loss of blood or long standing disease. It is helpful to women with fatigue, dizziness, heart palpitation, low appetite, irregular menstruation, deficient menses, and recovery from delivery and illness.
