Ingredients:
Asian ginsneg {Ren Shen} (root)
Bai-zhu atractylodes {Bai Zhu} (rhizome)
Poria {Fu Ling} (sclerotium)
Chinese licorice {Gan Cao} (root)

Actions: Tonifies Qi and strengthens the Spleen and Stomach.

Main indications: Use for deficiency of spleen qi and stomach qi manifesting pale complexion, low and weak voice, shortness of breath, lassitude, poor appetite, loose stool, and a pale tongue with white coating and weak pulse.*

Directions: Take 8 pills each time, 3 times a day.

Notes: The Four Noble Extract is a modern preparation according to the ancient prescription "Si Jun Zi Tang" (Four Gentlemen Decoction) in TCM originally appeared in Imperial Grace Formulary of the Tai Ping Era (Tai Ping Hui Min He Ji Ju Fang), that is one common-used tonic formulas for spleen-qi deficiency, often prescribed for cases of deficiency of spleen qi such as chronic stomach disorder, stomach or pancreaticoduodenal ulcer in China. In modern clinic, it is applicable to Chronic Gastritis; Gastric and Duodenal Ulcer; Neurasthenia; Irritable Bowel Syndrome; Diabetes Mellitus; Periodic Paralysis; Uterine Fibroids; Reduces Recovery Time after gastric surgery.
