Story: the Ming Emperor of the Tang Dynasty encountered Yang Yu-huan at the Tai-zhen Taosim Temple, and he made her the high-ranked imperial concubine. Yang was treasured the emperor because of her good-looking and her ability of dancing. The Emperor abandoned the government affairs on account of his accompany with Yang. Then the Yu-Yang Rebellion took place, the emperor left the capital with haste. At Ma Wei-Po hill, the army mutinied asking for the execution of Yang. Thus, Yang committed suicide. Many years later, the emperor returned to the very place where he recollected all the details with Yang. The emperor got into sleep in great sorrow and regret. In his dream, he met Yang in her last appearance. She was still so beautiful and charming with the same love and heart, still the marvelous dancing and singing, but it was just a dream. All left was the "Aria of the Deep Regret".
