Xu Jiujing's Advancement into Civil Service is a comic opera popular with Chinese, that depicts a story of the Ming Dynasty: Scholar Xu Jiujing had a talent and stood out in the twice official examinations but not been conferred as Number One Scholar because his appearance, being assigned a county magistrate, the seventh class officer in the Ming Dynasty bureaucracy. Later he had been promoted to the third class official to host a trial for the complicated case filed by the son of An Guo Marquis and the wife-brother of Bing Jian Prince. Scholar Xu was portrayed by Zhu Shihui is fully humorous funny.
Zhu Shihui is a renowned performer in Peking Opera who has won the Plum Blossom Award twice. Zhu is a versatile actor and is commended by the experts for the male comic roles.
