Mother and Son Seeking the Sun retells a fable of Zhuang ethnic group who reside in the remote part of southwest China. Once upon a time, the ancestors of Zhuang ethnic group lived in a place where the sun would not come. In order to invite the sun to her dark and cold hometown, a beautiful pregnant woman traveled to the end of the world to seek the brightness and warmth of the sun. She didn’t make it, yet her son- Le, continued with his mother’s pursuit. Le was not overcome by wild beasts but fell in love with Tengmei. However, he didn't fail his mother and companions, and carried on with his walk…
